PONTEBUGGIANESE, Italy - The Purdue women's basketball team opened its Italian tour on Tuesday with a 62-56 win over Lithuania University. Senior April Wilson paced the Boilermakers in a stellar fourth-quarter comeback, posting 25 points and six steals.
The Boilermakers started off solid taking a 17-14 lead through the first quarter behind six points from Wilson and seven from junior guard Ashley Morrissette. Morrissette got her buckets quickly scoring four of the first six and hit a long three late in the quarter.
Momentum continued for the Old Gold and Black in the second quarter, holding Lithuania to just nine points and building a 33-25 edge at the half.
