Purdue had a golden opportunity to get a win in Lincoln and snap a losing streak and they didn't waste it; Nebraska was missing starters Rachel Theriot and Kyndal Clark. Theriot was a game time decision and Clark has suffered a season ending injury. Purdue harassed a less experienced Husker line-up all game long winning 68-50.
In the first half Purdue brought the pressure limiting Nebraska to 33% shooting and forcing them into 11 turnovers. Andreona Keys and company made life tough for Nebraska's guards and bigs coming up with nine steals and five blocked shots. With less offensive options on the outside to defend Purdue was able to double team center Jessica Shepard ultimately limiting her to only two points.
