The Purdue Boilermakers are hoping to begin turning around their football program this season and they look better than they have recently on paper. Unfortunately, they are still dealing with some off-the-field issues.
Head coach Darrell Hazell announced today that defensive end Gelen Robinson will miss at least the first two games of the season due to suspension.
That suspension could be increased to four games depending on what he does in camp.
Basically, Hazell is saying that if Robinson doesn’t come in and work hard he will be sitting out extra games. Robinson certainly seemed truly apologetic and remorseful for his actions after an alcohol-related arrest earlier this year.
