Walk into any major athletic event and one thing will be obvious: Purdue students love their Boilermakers. Students are encouraged to join official student sections, which are key in creating the atmosphere at all home football, volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball games.
The Ross-Ade Brigade
Purdue’s largest student section, the Ross-Ade Brigade, fills the northeast corner of Ross-Ade Stadium at every home football game. After touchdowns, it is common to see students being thrown in the air by fellow Brigade members, once for each point the Boilers have put on the board. The group is also known for showing off its vocal ability.
