Yesterday was the kick scrimmage for Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium, which was a weird one. First, the likely starting kicker in J.D. Dellinger, wasn't even on campus yet, as he is still in high school. Second, it was conducted in winds up to 50 miles per hour. While there was a 18 play regular scrimmage before the kick scrimmage, the scoring ended with only field goals counting and the Gold team beating the black team 24-21.
For the Gold team sophomore Tyler Duncan, a walk-on kicker from Danville, California, hit a 37 yard field goal in overtime for the win.
