Purdue Leads Big Ten Track & Field Championships After Day 1

After day one of the Big Ten outdoor track & field championships the Purdue men are in first place thanks to two of their best athletes having a great night. It all started with yet another Big Ten championship for one of the most accomplished throwers in school history.

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi was a First Team All-American last year at the outdoor championships and basically is awesome at the hammer throw and weight throw. In the hammer throw he threw a 69.39 meters in the final to be named the Big Ten champion for the third straight season. That notched Purdue 10 points for the team competition and he is one of the favorites to win the weight throw.
