Purdue picked up a big Father's Day present today when Nick Sipe gave her verbal commitment to Boilermakers. Sipe is a 6'4, 190 pound, 3* pocket passer from Villa Park, California, with offers from Boise St., Colorado St., and a collection of small schools. Sipe and Griffin Alstot give Purdue two quarterback commits for the 2018 class, with Sipe being a traditional drop back passer and Alstot providing a dual-threat skill set. It's always nice to get your quarterbacks committed early, because they tend to help you recruit other players. Sipe's commitment in particular could help Purdue mine some of the rich talent in California, a place that has been fertile for Purdue in the last few classes.
