According to Gold and Black Illustrated, Jeff Marks, a 6’2, 255 pound defensive tackle prospect out of Mobile, Alabama has committed to the Boilermakers 2018 recruiting class. He will sign next week and expects to enroll early.
Marks is an interesting addition to a class in need of some depth in the middle. In high school, Marks plays DE in a 3-4 defense, but will probably move inside for the Boilermakers. He is too small to compete in the BIG10 at defensive tackle right now, but the great thing about big 18 year olds (let’s not pretend like a kid that’s 6’2, 255 isn’t enormous) is they tend to turn into even bigger 19 and 20 year olds.
