This afternoon the Purdue University Board of Trustees made it official:
The $60 million plan to upgrade the football locker room, weight room, and other facilities with an addition to the north end of the Mollenkopf practice facility is officially a go, and that can be a huge boost to recruiting as it should at least make Purdue on-par facility-wise with the rest of the Big Ten.
The original plan was announced in October, but approved with little resistance today. It will add more than 110,000 square feet onto the Mollenkopf, the bulk of which will be a three-story building on the north end with new locker rooms, a new weight room, coaching offices, film rooms, player lounge, and meeting rooms.
