Safety

Of all of Purdue’s potential draftees, Theineman has the best story. The lightly recruited safety from Noblesville joined Purdue as a walk-on in 2014 after playing at Guerin Catholic HS. He majored in mechanical engineering, something that not many football players major in, but he was able to find an early niche on special teams after redshirting in 2014. By 2016 he was part of the rotation at safety and even started a game. Even had an interception and 25-yard return at Indiana.
It was his final two years where Jacob really found a role.
