EDITOR’S NOTE: What follows is a verbatim letter I received from a former Purdue football player that played during the transition from Joe Tiller to Danny Hope. Since he currently works in the world of college sports he asked to remain anonymous, but he wanted to voice his opinion on the current state of affairs in regards to the program. What follows this note is his letter to us and how he view Purdue football as being part of a welfare state. I am sharing this because it offers and inside perspective on how things are and what happened with the transition to Danny Hope.
