I grew up in a small town in Indiana. Maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe you haven’t. There were around 15K or so residents of Connersville, Indiana at the time. The vast majority of them were Indiana Basketball fans. I however, grew up a Purdue fan. My dad went to school at Purdue after finishing high school in Crawfordsville. He moved around a lot as a child for his dad’s job, don’t ask it’s still a sore spot, and maybe that’s why he made such a connection to Purdue. He got his undergraduate degree there, he got married while he was there, he began his path to his career in teaching right there in West Lafayette.
