To be considered for Capital One’s Academic All-America, a student-athlete must be a key contributor and maintain a grade point average, or GPA, of at least 3.30 on a 4.00 scale, be in at least his or her second year at the current institution and be officially nominated by an athletics communications director.
Recently, McClintock was named Academic All-District 5 which qualified him for All-America honors. The movement and sports science major carries a 3.67 cumulative GPA and is one of eight Big Ten men to be recognized as an Academic All-American.
McClintock wrapped up an incredible season on the track at the NCAA Championships two weeks ago.
