According to multiple reports, Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp is looking into terminating Kevin Sumlin's contract after an 8-4 season and 2 quarterback defections. This would be the ultimate in petulant, new-money moves by Sharp, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Texas A&M is confused about why they haven't been able to buy an SEC West championship after 4 entire seasons (that's a long time, right?) in the SEC. In those 4 seasons, Sumlin has helped produce a Heisman trophy winning QB, has produced a 10 win season, and has done no worse than 8-4. Unless Sumlin has some deep, dark secret that is about to come to light, I have no idea how 8-4 is grounds to be terminated, but I don't really care.
