Purdue got back on the winning track in its lone midweek game this week, and this weekend it heads to New Jersey for one of its last two road series left in the regular season. First let’s look back at the win over Butler.
Purdue 5, Butler 3
An RBI double from Ryan Howe in the bottom of the eighth gave Purdue a 4-3 lead and Howe was able to later score on a dropped fly ball as the Boilers got a nice home win over the Bulldogs. Bo Hofstra then worked a perfect ninth for his fourth save of the season.
