This will be Purdue’s first appearance on the SEC Network, which is obvious because it is Purdue’s first regular season game against an SEC foe since 1942. That year Purdue faced Vanderbilt as the second part of a home and home. The Boilermakers have not played a regular season game against an SEC foe (Missouri and Texas A&M have been on the schedule, but not as SEC members) since and has only played against the SEC against Georgia in a pair of bowl games. Purdue also played Tennessee in the 1979 Bluebonnet Bowl.
