I was a student at Purdue during the very early Tiller era, which is pretty much the golden period of Purdue football for the last half century. I was spoiled to see every Drew Brees home start from the student section, and in 2000 we even had our first mass-instruction video on group cheers. Thanks to the “Goodguys: Family Means Everything” as the slogan for 2000 we had a bunch of new cheers that have endured to this day.
One of these was the train horn pull set to the theme from “Jaws”. The video wanted us to do the Gator Chomp because the University of Florida had made it famous, but this was silly.
