Purdue 58, Northwestern 44: Boilers Open B1G Title Defense with Win

if you watched all of this one I am sorry. Your eyes are likely bleeding.

At one point Purdue was 1 of 14 from three. Both teams were shooting worse than 30% in the first half. The Boilers were playing their typical good defense, but the offense that had issues in the second half at Marquette and against Florida State returned. Thankfully, Northwestern is really not good at the sport of basketball and the Boilers were able to open Big Ten play with a 58-44 win.

The first half was brutal on both sides. After the Wildcats jumped out to a 6-2 lead thanks to a pair of threes from Pete Nance their own offense went into hibernation.
