What do John Wooden, Neil Armstrong, and Tyler Trent have in common?
They are the only Purdue alums to have memorials and statues dedicated to them on Purdue’s campus. Pretty good company, I think.
Last month, Purdue president, Mitch Daniels, announced that Purdue was “working on” a physical memorial for beloved Purdue student, Tyler Trent. This morning, WLFI’s Trevor Peters said that the memorial would be placed at Gate E, where we all first met Tyler as he camped out for the 2017 Michigan game.
ISC Purdue reporter, Corey Ross, was one of the first people to suggest a memorial at Gate E, which may have been the inspiration for this memorial.
