The first loss of the season is tough. Losing a game to a rival you haven’t played in seven years is even tougher. I don’t think that Purdue needed to play a perfect game in order to win, but it needed to take advantages of the opportunities it was given and it was unable to do so. It led to a frustrating afternoon, as there were chances missed.
There will be other chances though, as the season is not over. The hope of a postseason game is still very much alive as Purdue would go somewhere around Christmas time with just four more wins.
