It is time for year two of the Jeff Brohm era. For at least one night Purdue will be at the center of the college football universe as the Thursday night kickoff in West Lafayette is the biggest game on the docket for the season’s opening weekend. It marks the first time since 1996 that Purdue has started a season against a Big Ten opponent and the first time Purdue has played on Holy Thursday.
Last season Northwestern was in control throughout on a chilly night in Evanston. Their 23-13 win came after opening up a 20-0 lead midway through the third quarter.
