Last season’s win at Missouri might have been the most impressive of the season. The Tigers entered with a high octane offense and later finished the year on a tear, yet Purdue was completely and utterly dominant. It was the Boilermakers’ first road win over a non-conference power five team since 2005, it’s first road win outside the Big Ten since 2007, and its first road win against a team not named Illinois since 2012.
We could really use this one this year, too.
While last season’s win seemed to energize the team and take expectations up a notch, this one might be needed to prevent this season from going completely off the rails.
