Purdue and Maryland have only played twice, never in West Lafayette, and the Boilers have just one touchdown in each game as the Terrapins have dominated both games. That would be the 2006 Champs Sports Bowl and the 2016 regular season matchup that was one of the final nails in Darrell Hazell’s coffin.
This year’s meeting is a little different, as Purdue is playing at home on Homecoming, but is a beaten up team with a wealth of injuries. Maryland has been up and down, blowing out Howard, Rutgers, and Syracuse, but getting blown out by Penn State with a loss to Temple as well.
