As if things were not thin enough as it is, Purdue has yet another injury that will limit it going forward:
Marvin Grant Jr. was the 4-star safety Purdue expected to come in and immediately help the secondary. With him out against Minnesota we saw what can happen over the middle. He was not on the participation list for that game, but he appeared in the first three games of the year. He had two tackles on the year, one each against Vanderbilt and TCU. He was listed as the backup to Jalen Graham on this week’s depth chart at strong safety.
