Sure, we may get a few sound bites from the Big Ten Media Days, and sometimes we get some big recruiting news, but most of the time, it’s pretty slow around here. This allows us the chance to talk about other stuff in sports, especially the weird. That’s where this podcast comes in, to help fill in the gaps in the Purdue sports calendar.

23 years ago today, the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta kicked off, and they were...weird (hey, we’re just living up to the name of our podcast). From constant product placements, single-use stadiums, and events being held by carvings of losers and racists from the Civil War.
