Rachel is covering the Minnesota second round match tonight, so I was called in from the bullpen to cover Purdue’s NCAA Tournament second round match against Kentucky. heading in the Wildcats were daunting. They had not lost a home match all season, they were undefeated in SEC play, and they had won 22 consecutive matches on their way to a 26-4 record.
In short, they crushed Purdue.
The Boiler managed to keep it close in the first two sets. Kentucky won 25-20 and 25-21 in the first two sets. I caught the second set and much of it was Purdue playing catch-up.
