Previously, the Big Ten logo was displayed in front of the television announcers’ table and the stadium name was painted just below the free-throw lines. In the new design, these features have been switched.
The Big Ten’s trademark B1G logo, painted in Old Gold, stands out in contrast against the black of the keys and the name “Mackey Arena” is displayed prominently along the sideline.
The word “Boilermakers” remains along the baselines, but the solid gold-colored lettering has been replaced with outlined letters, giving the ends of the floor a darker look.
Even with the changes, some things stayed the same.
