Purdue today announced that Purdue head coaches Jeff Brohm, Matt Painter, and Sharon Versyp along with the Athletic Director Mike Bobinski have all taken voluntary 20% pay cuts in an attempt to lessen the impact of the cancellation of the fall football season in addition to no 2020 NCAA Tournament.
Combined the four big shots in the department and others in higher levels who have voluntarily taken pay cuts have pledged a total of $1 million to the More Than a Game fund that Purdue is attempting to quell the financial hemorrhaging. This is an admirable first step but it won’t do enough for many in the department.
