Last season Jacson McGowan led Purdue baseball with a modest 8 home runs. After just three games he is well on his way to passing that mark in 2018, and that was enough to earn him his first Big Ten Player of the Week Award.

McGowan homered in all three games against the Broncos as Purdue swept the improvised 3-game series in Georgia. he also drove in seven of Purdue’s 20 runs and scored four of them himself. He finished the weekend batting .538, which is not even the best on the team behind the .636 from Skyler Hunter.
