Purdue Basketball took to Twitter today to announce that Sophomore forward Jacquil Taylor had suffered a stress fracture in his ankle that required surgery. Taylor had successful surgery on Tuesday but at this moment there is no timetable for his return. This puts Purdue down an additional man after the suspension of Basil Smotherman and Ryan Cline. This goes along with the fact that Purdue doesn’t have a full roster of scholarship players. It’s not an ideal situation when one of the first games of the season is against a team you might’ve heard of who did pretty well last year.
