For the second time this week a Purdue player has been named as a top 5 finalist for a national position award. On Tuesday Carsen Edwards was named as a finalist for the Jerry West Award, given to the nation’s top shooting guard. Today Isaac Haas was named as a top 5 finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award given to the nation’s best center.
Haas is joined on the list by Jock Landale (Saint Mary’s), Angel Delgado (Seton Hall), Thomas Welsh (UCLA) and Brandon McCoy (UNLV). Fans are encouraged to visit HoopHallAwards.
