The show must go on, and that means a home opener against Indiana State this week. This will be the fifth ever meeting between the schools, and since the Big Ten is doing away with matchups against FCS teams it is likely the last one ever with the Trees. Purdue barely snuck past Indiana State two seasons ago int he first win under Darrell Hazell. They are better now, but this is still a paycheck game purchase by Purdue to win, preferably by a lot.
The Trees made last season's FCS playoffs and even won a game 36-16 at Eastern Kentucky before losing int he second round.
