This wasn’t mentioned in the prompt but I’m gonna note that in our GroupMe conversation you said no coaches allowed, only players. I want that known up front for why Gene Keady isn’t listed.
To me there are three obvious choices and then one wildcard. The obvious choices are John Wooden, Rick Mount, and Glenn Robinson. Each player was dominant in their era (which I think is the only way to do something like this.) and still to this day represents a point of pride for Purdue fans across the board.
