We’re approaching the end of the 2017 football season, and soon, like the Teay’s River itself, it will be nothing more than a distant memory. You may ask what the Teay’s river is. Well, it was an ancient river in northern Indiana that was severely disrupted by the last ice age. It was comparable in size to the present-day Ohio River, but flowed across much of northern Indiana. Part of it ended up going through Tippecanoe County.
Even though this river is lost, it is making a comeback in the new Teay’s River Brewing, which will open in January in Lafayette:
