"It feels good, we've been quick time all month and are wanting to back that up again today and stay on top of the chart," said Simpson. "Lucky for us, it all worked out."
He believes his team is in good shape for next Saturday's race.
"We have a pretty strong race kart so that puts us in good shape," said Simpson. "We've done this a couple times, so we know what to do and are looking forward to it."
Second in qualifications, Pi Kappa Phi racing driver Chris Challis has high hoped for the team.
