David Blough Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

When you break a school record that Drew Brees once held it tends to turn heads. While Purdue didn’t win on the field this past Saturday, David Blough had a career day. It paid off this morning as he was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week despite the Boilers losing Saturday night.

Blough stablished a new school record with 572 passing yards Saturday night. It should have been 581 one had the Jared Sparks touchdown stood, but it was still an impressive number. It broke the former record of 546 yards set by Curtis Painter in the 2007 Motor City Bowl against Central Michigan.
