Danny Etling was expected to be the savior at the quarterback position for the Purdue Boilermakers, but ended up being a major bust. His career with Purdue ended this afternoon, when he asked for and was granted his release from the football program. He will now seek a transfer to continue his college football career elsewhere.
Purdue QB Danny Etling has been granted his release from the program. Etling started as freshman but lost job last year to Austin Appleby.

During the 13 games that Etling ended up playing with the Boilermakers, he ended up throwing for 2,490 yards, 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
