There was carnage in last week’s top 25. #3, #9, #10, #11 (x2), #13, #14, #16, #17, #19, and #25 all lost at least once last week. Purdue had the benefit of no midweek game and a home game to stay hot and near the top of the Big Ten race. The result is that Purdue is back in the AP top 12 for the first time since last season:
- Tennessee (40) 1,573
- Duke (24) 1,554
- Gonzaga 1,457
- Virginia 1,406
- Kentucky 1,330
- Michigan 1,253
- Nevada 1,230
- North Carolina 1,178
- Houston 1,022
- Marquette 953
- Michigan State 948
- Purdue 900
- Villanova 753
- Kansas 699
- Texas Tech 660
- Louisville 542
- Florida State 455
- Kansas State 444
- LSU 437
- Wisconsin 403
- Iowa 399
- Virginia Tech 393
- Iowa State 280
- Maryland 196
- Buffalo 170
Tomorrow’s game with Maryland is the only one left with a team either ranked or receiving votes, so we’re in a great spot to win a Big Ten championship.
