Purdue began last season at #23 in the preseason AP Poll, then dropped out after losing to Texas at home on the opening weekend of the year. Since then Purdue has received a few votes here and there, but has not been back in the top 25. That is a rarity of late. From the start of the 2015-16 season through the end of the 2018-19 season Purdue was ranked in 68 of 78 possible AP Polls, getting as high as No. 3 for much of the 2018.
