The Jerry West Award is giving to the best shooting guard in the nation, and Carsen Edwards certainly earned his hardware tonight, beating out Grayson Allen (Duke), Kendrick Nunn (Oakland), Jerome Robinson (Boston College) and Marcus Foster (Creighton). According to the press release from Purdue, Edwards was not initially listed in the preseason list released in October, but was named to the 10-person list in February. Edwards is the first Purdue player to win a Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame position award.
