It is cold comfort, but Carsen Edwards left little doubt he was the best player in the NCAA Tournament South Region. The junior hit a school record 10 threes and had a career high 42 points as Purdue fell 80-75 in the South Regional Final in Louisville to Virginia. The 42 points matched his career high established last week agaisnt Villanova.
For the tournament Carsen scored 26, 42, 29, and 42 in leading Purdue literally inches away from a Final Four. His 34.75 points per game average also helped him become Purdue’s all-time leading scorer in NCAA Tournament history.
