Five-star big man and McDonald’s All-American Caleb Swanigan has de-committed from Michigan State University. ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported the story.

Swanigan only committed to the Spartans about a month ago, and seemed excited about heading to East Lansing to play for Tom Izzo.

Instead, it now appears as though Swanigan will head to Michigan State’s Big Ten rival Purdue, a team that went 21-13 (12-6 Big Ten) under head coach Matt Painter last season and saw back to back Sweet Sixteens in 2009 and 2010.
