The No. 17 Purdue (8-3, 0-2) offense which was so effective up to this point in the season had miserable efforts in both matches. There were plenty of contributing factors but back-to-back sub .150 efforts doomed the Boilers. Purdue fell 22-25, 27-29, 15-25 against No. 13 Wisconsin (6-4, 2-0) and 19-25, 21-25, 23-25 against No. 7 Minnesota (8-2, 2-0).
Wisconsin Recap
Purdue had its chances in sets one and two before collapsing in the final set. The Purdue offense could never get into a rhythm and their inability to score and untimely errors late led to the sweep.
