The Rutger Scarlet Knights came into the Big Ten Tournament with one pass to the NCAA tournament: win 5 straight games. They beat Minnesota in their first tournament game. Then, they conquered IU in front of a home(ish) crowd. They were looking to make it a third against the #3 seed and # 8 team in the country Purdue Boilermakers, but the collective Edwardi was too much for Corey Sanders and Geo Baker and Purdue held on to a 82-75 victory.
When Purdue needed to close out the game, it was Carsen and Vincent Edwards that stepped and made free throws.
