OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
David Blough, QB, Purdue — Blough torched the Nebraska “Blackshirt” defense all day on Saturday. He started with a 56-yard touchdown run and ended up going 28 of 43 for 274 yard and 4 scores through the air. Nebraska had no answer for the freshman quarterback.
Honorable mention: Christian Hackenberg, QB, Penn State
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Penn State defense — You rarely see shutouts in college football anymore, but Penn State got it done against Illinois.
