The 2019-20 season did not go as planned. Purdue would have likely missed the NCAA Tournament had it been played. There were a lot of close calls, but in general it was an unaccustomed step back after being at the top of the conference for so long.
But this team is still close.
The vast majority of the roster returns, two freshmen are coming off of a redshirt, and three more promising players will join the roster in the fall. It is hoped that the 2019-20 season was more of a small step back before a big leap forward.
