The final indictment of Darrell Hazell is complete. Coming into this year’s NFL Draft Purdue had at least one player drafted in 21 straight drafts, with Ja’Whaun Bentley getting drafted last year and winning a Super Bowl ring with the New England Patriots as a result. The dearth of talent recruited under Hazell paid its final bill today, however, as the drafted ended and no player from Purdue was called for the first time since 1997.
Let’s fire him, again.
The market for undrafted free agents is a free-for-all, however, and a handful of guys will have to get to the league the hard way.
