This doesn’t make up for March 30th in Louisville. That is an ache that will be fresh for a while. Still, the rematch with The Champs (or at least part of The Champs) was highly anticipated. Virginia is still an elite team. They were ranked #5 in the AP poll and No 2 in the Coaches Poll. They entered with a 13 game winning streak overall and had not lost since last eyar’s ACC Tournament. They had not lost a regular season game since February 9th at home against Duke. With out own home mortality shown in the loss to Texas and a narrow loss to Florida State just a few days ago, I was concerned.
