After a third-round loss last season in the Women’s NIT to in-state rivals Indiana, Coach Versyp and her Lady Boilermakers look to turn things around for the 2018-19 season and get back to the real dance. They finished 20-14 last season and 7th in the Big Ten.
As part of a rebuilt effort, Coach Versyp has hit the transfer market to bolster a roster that’s been affected by transfers of her own. Most exciting is 5’11” Lyndsey Whilby, a sophomore guard transfer from Texas Tech. She led the Red Raiders in three-pointers last season. She will be seeking a waiver to become immediately eligible after she left a drama-filled program.
