One of the most popular events in the state is this weekend at Bankers Life Fieldhouse as the annual Crossroads Classic takes place. While there have been calls to expand this to a more formal tournament and rope in the state’s other 6 Division I teams, the event with Purdue, Indiana, Notre Dame, and Butler is always an annual hit. This is the seventh iteration of the event and in it we have seen Butler evolve from Horizon League plucky mid-major to bonafide national program. The Bulldogs are an impressive 5-1 in this, losing only to Indiana in 2014.
